Dr Son Le (MBBS FRACP)
Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist
Dr Son Le is a gastroenterologist that has trained in teaching hospitals in Sydney and rural NSW. He obtained his medical degree at UNSW in 2008. In 2015 he was qualified as a specialist in gastroenterology and hepatology, and received accreditation to perform gastroscopy and colonoscopy. He is also qualified to perform capsule endoscopy and small bowel enteroscopy.
He has subspecialty experience through seeing patients in inflammatory bowel disease and liver clinics. He has extensive training and competence in double balloon enteroscopy. He has experience with endoscopic mucosal resection, bowel cancer screening, diseases of the oesophagus, inflammatory bowel disease, liver and biliary disorders and published abstracts in major journals. He spent a year training in advanced endoscopy and assisted with ERCP, EUS and ablation of Barrett's.
Dr Le is a member of the Gastroenterology Society of Australia (GESA). He is registered as a specialist gastroenterologist with the Australian Health Practioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Medicare Australia. He is fluent in both English and Vietnamese. He consults at Bankstown and Cabramatta. Dr Le will spend the time to listen and discuss any issues that you may have.
